Purdy Christmas 2012

This year the Purdy family celebrated Christmas early since both my sisters were with their in-laws on  Christmas Eve and morning.  The kids got out of school at noon on Friday and Friday night we had our "fake Christmas".  This was a very busy week for everyone in the family.  Caryn's family was sick all week, Kacey's prego, and had sick kids, we had Ally's birthday, Mark's been working like crazy to get us a suite in San Diego(another 25 New Business in 2 weeks, which he DID!), my Nana, Sam and Aunt Shirley were here, Mom had crazy end of the semester stuff at school, staff Christmas, school parties for everyone, Christmas chapel, cookie exchange and our last Zumba class at the MAC.:(  Needless to say it was a hectic but wonderful week and by Friday night the kids and Adults were all a little fried.
We drew names for the adults and kids this year, which was great!

Christmas Chapel

Another Christmas Chapel has come and gone.  This year Lila and Ally were both participating which was a real treat.  It's always wonderful to see our children worshipping our Lord and Savior and chapel this year was terrific.
Ally was very excited to wear this beautiful dress to school.  As a mom I LOVE school uniforms and so far my kids haven't complained but, it's a really big treat when the kids get a no uniform day!
Little LEW doing some great hand-motions
 Christmas Chapel watchers
Brady really likes music and was a perfect angel baby during chapel.  It helps that there are numerous entertainers
Way to go Ally, you did great!
Honey and GP with 5 of the 9...Caryn's family had the never-ending stomach bug and missed a whole week of school :(.
Merry Christmas!

Ally's SIX

I love that we get to celebrate our children's birthdays at school with a special snack.  Ally continued her cheerleading theme with a WCS cheer cookie cake.  We love our cookie cake in this house!
Special class visitors
 And Honey lighting the candles
 Ally loves her sweets :)

Happy happy birthday to you Ally,
2012 was a big year of change for you.
  • You became a Christian after VBS this year and we were so proud of you!!
  • You were diagnosed with a rare platelet disorder and handled the tiredness and hospital like a pro (...WAY better than your mom).
  • Daddy and I loved watching you become a big sister this year.  You are a HUGE help to me everyday with Brady.
  • You made the transition to kindergarten with ease and you are starting to read and learning so much everyday at school.  You have made some wonderful new friends there, and have never once gotten your color changed or had any discipline issue.
  • You are incredibly social and always want to know where we're going and what the plan is.
  • You started calling us mom and dad---no more Mommy and Daddy :(
  • you had to start eating in under 25 minutes...that one took a while but now you can almost finish your whole lunch.
  • you get up to your princess alarm clock every school day and get yourself dressed all by yourself each morning.
  • you can fix your own hair, and only wear bows when I ask you too
  • you can almost tie your shoes

Thanks for making me laugh everyday---you remind me SOOOO much of your dad.  We love you very much.

Ally's Cheerleader party

My beautiful, sweet, caring, unique, snaggle-tooth baby is SIX!!! I remember six being a really hard year for Ryan but Ally has made this transition with ease (praises!!) She has LOVED being a cheerleader for WCS this year so when I asked her what kind of party she wanted it was a cheer party of course.  A cheer party at the Jumping Place---easy, peasy.  Having a December birthday is always a bit challenging but she had a great turnout and a fantastic time at her little party.

 Me and the birthday girl

I'm sorry these are SIX year olds right...wow what a group of stunning young ladies!

Honey was on Brady duty a lot of the night and she let him play in the baby section.  I have come a long way on my germaphobia but this is still hard for me :))).  He didn't get sick and had a great time exploring
The decorations (minus the balloons that we forgot to put out until last minute)

This really was probably the easiest party I've ever done and the best part of all was NO cleanup!!

We didn't manage a family shot with Caroline and Wyatt sick and Stacey III making an early sick exit it didn't happen.  I did remember to get Ally with Honey, GP, and Grandma.  We love our grandparents!!

 Make a wish baby girl

We are on present overload and so grateful for ALL our sweet friends and family who love our Ally girl

Happy Birthday baby girl.  Have a fantastic 6th year!
