Mother's Day

It is such an incredible blessing to be a mother.  I had no idea when I was pregnant with Ryan just how wonderful and fulfilling and hard and exhausting motherhood would be!!  I count it a blessing every day(even those days I want to pull my hair out) to raise these kids of ours.   I have also been on my knees before the Lord A LOT more since becoming a mother.  There are days I feel overwhelmed with our schedules, or parenting in general but I know that the LORD knows my every weakness and He continually gives me grace-can I get an AMEN!

To start off Mother's Day weekend, Ally and I attended a Mommy-Daughter Tea at the Arboretum.  She was so excited to spend some time alone with me and I am so thankful that we went.

Ally and her friends at the tea.  There were LOTS of pretty hats, but we opted not to wear ours (mainly because we didn't have any:))
Then we had a mother's day brunch at WCS and Ally made me several handmade gifts that I treasure.

Honey and Ally at the brunch
This year has been so fun for me and Ally because she is in class with my very best friends' kids.
Heather and Landry
 Lauren and Charley
 Erica and Aubrey
Caryn and Wyatt--double bonus to be with our COUSIN!
 and Denise and Justin
We LOVE Mrs. Dunlap's class 2012!!!
They all sang some great songs for us.  Ally really loves to sing!
 Is there anything sweeter???!!!
Then we got to celebrate my fantastic mom--HONEY! Here she is spotting her new lake hat, very cute.  GP and the hubbies cooked a YUMMY lunch for all the moms.  We were served very well
Some pics with the grandkids (minus the youngest three)

The very best moms I know!!
 I am so blessed~!
This year was extra special because we had a extra special gift from the Lord-- Brady boy---here he is in his favorite spot at Grandma's grinning at Daddy.  We also celebrated with Norma and had a wonderful home cooked dinner
 My ally girl
 and my first-born
Thank you for making my day extra special and waiting on my hand and foot.  I love you guys!

2nd grade Poetry Recital and Field day

Ryan chose the perfect poem for his second grade poetry recital.  Here he is giving an exciting rendition of play ball!! His love for the stage has not changed :) it's still not his thing but he DID IT!!!
The poem...
Play Ball!
by Lillian M. Fisher
It was my turn to bat
And I hit the ball
So hard it sailed
Right over the wall.
The crowd went wild.
I started to run.
How happy I’d be
If my team won.
First base, second,
third—I’m home free!
Hurrah for my team!
Hurrah for me!
(His sweet 2nd grade class)
We have some major perks having the Administrator of the school in our family!
 His cheering section

 The sleepyhead Wood family :)
And since Ally was at school during the performance I have to include this sweet pic.  She is like Brady's second little momma...so adorable!
We had WCS field day the same week and Ryan loved every second of it.
 They had some fun relays.

 And everyone's favorite Tug-of-War

 Such cutie cousins.
Spring time at WCS is full of FUN activities and we are very thankful that our children get to attend school there!

Brady's O-N-E month today

We survived the first month--Yea team Wood!! Brady is such a wonderful baby and reminds me a LOT of his big brother Ryan.  He's eating every 2 and 1/2 to 3 hours and I have to cut him off or he'd nurse all day.  He seems to have grown quite a bit lately and he absolutely LOVES being outside.  He also takes a bottle beautifully and has wonderful helpers whenever he needs to be fed :).  We're not getting much sleep around here but I am so thankful that I get to hold him in my arms each night.  He started smiling yesterday and I could just eat him up...

Happy one month Brady boy.  We Love you SO much.

Mark's 39!!

I am officially married to an old man... It's amazing how he keeps getting older while I stay 29, really weird :).  Honestly, my man has just gotten better with age and I am SO thankful for him!! I am also thankful that Stacey and Caryn decided to throw a joint b-day party for Mark and Josh at mom and dad's because with a almost 3 week old last Sunday, I was SPENT and couldn't have pulled it together.  So sorry Josh that I don't have one single picture of you, but we are also very thankful for our crazy Uncle Frank and glad these two share April as their birth months.
Caryn, thank you for the festiveness!!
With all NINE cousins in one place it can get L-O-U-D and crazy.  Sweet Caroline did not like it one bit when her GP and Honey held Brady.  She was great when her momma held him but she wasn't havin' her grandparents focus on another baby.  It was pretty funny!
This little one cracks me up...
And these three peas in a pod played and played and then played some more.
here come the Staceys:) Thanks again for the amazing Grub Stac Steele, it was SOOO good
The official party planner minus one teething baby
 Happy Birthday!!!
These two will have a lot in common since they are the babies of the family
onto the gifts...the kids are always very interested in the opening of the gifts.
New kicks, and a nephew that's sportin' a great do-rag---ha!
Every year we get Mark a new Ranger t-shirt and this year it had to be YUUUUU Darvish.  Ryan picked this out, and was very proud.
mom, seriously?? He keeps trying to tell me the Bears are the best, but I will always love my Red Raiders!
 Party of five
crazy pic--sort of how I feel these days ;)
Happy 39th bday babe.  We love you very much and are incredibly grateful for all you do for our family!
Can't wait to see what the Lord has in store for your 39th year.
