This was my absolute FAVORITE book growing up. I have very vivid memories of my mom reading this to me and if given the choice I would almost always choose to read this book...I don't know what that says about me as a child:) Anyway, from the moment he wakes up with gum in his hair, things just do not go Alexander's way. At breakfast, Alexander's brothers Nick and Anthony reach into their cereal boxes and pull out amazing prizes, while all Alexander ends up with is . . . cereal. The situation does not get any better at school, in fact it gets worse. No wonder Alexander wants to move to Australia! In Australia, everything is upside down, so he thinks that this would be the perfect place for him to live. Well I have had a couple of Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Days around here too. Let me backtrack..last month Mark and I finally became debt free, after years of living in debt it was honestly the most liberating feeling besides childbirth that I have ever experienced. Many, many months of prayer, and sacrifice allowed us to achieve this goal. I would highly recommend Dave Ramsey's Total Money Makeover to anyone facing the same challenge. Since then, Mark and I have really been under attack. We both just feel like now that the financial obstacle has been removed...(Praise the Lord!!) there are now 10 more to face. Can anyone relate??? Today was just the topper on a bad weekend. My IDENTITY WAS STOLEN!!!! Someone in Arizona has all my bank account information, address, phone number....everything. And I have to be honest, it's a really weird feeling that there's someone out there pretending to me!!!! Fortunately my bank will be refunding all the money, and they seem to know exactly who is stealing from us but it has been a giant struggle today. It's soooo funny how our Lord works. This morning I started a great study, Believing God, by Beth Moore, and just today I was given a five statement pledge of faith:
Satan wasted no time in testing whether or not I believe these words to be true. After re-reading what I wrote down this morning I know that our promised lands are places of great victory over our enemy. I know God is constantly at work in our lives but I feel it...I mean I really feel like I can't breathe sometimes because of what He is trying to teach me. My prayer is that I will get it this time!!!! If you get a chance to read Alexander's book I promise it will make you smile:) After I found it on Ryan's shelf this afternoon my day seemed a lot lighter!

Mark brought Ryan home and he joined in the fun
